Buhurt Battles — Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 13, 2026
Buhurt Battles is a tournament management app for buhurt events, published by Raymond Paez. This policy explains what data the app handles and why.
Data stored on your device
Events, brackets, entrants and scores you create are saved on your own device. They are not sent anywhere unless you choose to share an event.
Data sent when you share an event
If you tap Share this event, or join an event with a code, the app signs in to our backend (Supabase) with an anonymous ID. No name, email or phone number is collected for this. While an event is shared, its contents are stored on that backend so other phones with the code can see them or enter scores. This includes the event name, the entrants' names, club and team names, brackets and scores.
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). It is used only to run the live sync feature and is never sold or used for advertising.
Fighter and team directory
The app includes a directory of fighter names, clubs and countries, and team names, compiled from publicly published tournament information. It makes entering competitors faster. If you are listed and want to be removed or corrected, email us at the address below.
Seasons and the League Desktop App
If you create or join a season (League plan), the app stores on our backend what the season needs so its other phones and computers can see it: results of the tournaments you link to the season (team or fighter names, who fought whom, winners, event names and dates), the season’s calendar and team list, and copies of events you choose to Send to season, including their entrants and scores. Each phone or computer in a season is identified only by an anonymous ID and an optional label such as “Computer”. No email, password or account is created.
The season owner or an admin can remove devices, delete results and remove event copies. Deleting a season deletes all of its data from our backend. The League Desktop App at buhurt-battles.com uses the same backend and the same rules.
Purchases
Subscriptions and purchases are processed by Google Play. We never see your payment details. The app only checks with Google Play which plan is active on your device.
What we do not collect
No advertising, no analytics or tracking SDKs, no location, no contacts, no photos.
Feedback
If you use Send feedback, what you type is saved to our backend together with the screen you were on, the app build, your device's browser details and the anonymous ID described above. It is used only to fix and improve the app. The app then opens Google Play so you can post the same text as a review; anything you post there is handled under Google's privacy policy.
Retention and deletion
To delete a shared event from our backend, open the event and tap Stop sharing. To delete season data, see Seasons above. This deletes it from the server immediately. Data on your own device is removed when you delete the event or uninstall the app. You can also email us to ask for any data relating to you to be deleted.
Children
The app is intended for adult tournament organizers and officials and is not directed at children under 13.
